Shaking the Nations One City at a Time

Planetshakers visited Dubai for the first time in Middle East on the 26th of September at JSS School at Al Barsha as part of their Night of Fire Tour.

The Contemporary Christian Worship band hailing from Adelaide, Australia is a part of The Planetshakers City Church, which formed for the first Planetshakers conference in 1997. Since then the Band has grown substantially with two teams travelling the globe regularly and annually to USA, UK, South Africa, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Stopping over from Capetown, South Africa the previous night, the band performed the next day in Dubai and continued on their Night Of Fire Tour to Hong Kong, Cebu Philippines and Kulalampur in Malaysia.

The evening began with a couple of opening acts with aspiring artists such as local talents Arlene Tressler and Dilip Kurien and James Basnet from Bangalore, India.

Planetshakers began the night with an energy raging introduction and rocketed to the world hit song, Let Praise Awaken. The crowd was very excited to see the band performing their all-time favorites including Limitless, Nothing is impossible, The Anthem, Put your Hands Up. Bassist, Joshua Ham wooed the crowd with his solo and duet with Andy Harrison, the drummer. BJ Pridham led the worship followed by Ps. Rudy’s powerful message that touched many hearts. Planetshakers’ performance left a huge impact on the crowd who never ceased to root for them.

“It was a life changing evening for me, it has definitely been a concert of impact tonight” Midhuna Maran, an avid fan of Planetshakers.

The band also had a great time touring Dubai enjoying the heat that they get so little of. They also experimented with Arabic and Indian cuisine which they thoroughly relished.

Planetshakers expressed their eagerness to perform again and to conduct their world-renowned annual conferences, Awakening in Dubai in the near future.
